Insurify raises $23M in funding round

Insurify Inc. raised $23 million in a series A funding round led by MTech Capital Management LLC and Viola FinTech.

Nationwide, Hearst Ventures and MassMutual Ventures also participated in the investment round.

The investment will support the company's expansion of its artificial intelligence-powered insurance comparison platform to include home, renters and life insurance.

Additionally, Insurify appointed Gene Shkolnik chief technology officer. Shkolnik was senior vice president of engineering at Kayak Software Corp.
