Dream Global REIT sets meeting date to vote on C$6.2B for Blackstone deal

Dream Global REIT unit holders are scheduled to vote on the company's C$6.2 billion takeover by Blackstone Group Inc.-managed real estate funds at a Nov. 12 special meeting.

The all-cash transaction was agreed to in September for C$16.79 per unit, and completion is expected in December, subject to approvals and other conditions.

Dream's board of trustees recommends that unit holders vote in favor of the proposal.

The proxy voting deadline is Nov. 7.
