Amazon.com Inc. is in advanced talks to acquire Massachusetts-based cybersecurity software company Sqrrl, Axios reported Dec. 17.
The purchase price reportedly could be over $40 million.
Sqrrl had raised close to $30 million in venture capital funding from firms such as Accomplice LLC, Matrix Partners and Rally Ventures, according to the report. Its founders used to work for the National Security Agency.
Neither Amazon and Sqrrl nor have yet responded to requests for comment, Axios said.
