YouTube TV, MLB expand partnership

Google Inc.'s YouTube TV expanded its partnership with Major League Baseball.

YouTube TV will serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2018 and 2019 World Series and will also team up with the MLB on a new season-long sponsorship, dubbed "First Pitch," according to a March 8 news release.

The multiyear deal also includes a variety of national TV spots and on-air call-outs during the games, branding across MLB's digital properties and official social media accounts, and in-stadium promotion. YouTube TV members will be able to add MLB.tv, a sports streaming service in the U.S., for an additional fee.
