FERC approves Antin Infrastructure's acquisition of 265-MW gas plant

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Oct. 24 signed off plans by Antin Infrastructure Partners-managed investment funds to acquire Kendall Green Energy LLC from Veolia Energy North America Holdings Inc.

Kendall owns and operates an approximately 265-MW natural gas-fired power plant in Cambridge, Mass., within the ISO New England market. (FERC docket EC19-121)

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence data, the deal is part of Antin Infrastructure Partners' $1.25 billion acquisition of Thermal North America Inc. from the Paris-based Veolia Environnement SA. The business of Thermal North America comprises steam, hot and chilled water and electricity production plants and 13 networks in 10 cities in the U.S.
