Australia's Chapmans extends closing date for rights offering

Australia-based Chapmans Ltd. said Oct. 3 that it extended the closing date for its planned rights offering to Oct. 27 from Oct. 20.

Under the offering, the company intends to issue up to 407,500,028 new shares at 0.5 Australian cent per share on the basis of 1 new share for every 2 existing shares. The issuance is expected to raise up to A$2 million.

The company initially set Oct. 6 as the record date and Oct. 20 as the closing date for the issue.

The rights offering is subject to regulatory approval.
