Summit Park closes Freedom Electronics recapitalization

Charlotte, N.C.-based private equity firm SPP Management Services LLC, which does business as Summit Park, invested an undisclosed amount in Freedom Electronics LLC in partnership with that company's management team.

The recapitalization marks the first investment for the investor's Summit Park III LP fund.

Kennesaw, Ga.-based Freedom remanufactures and sells more than 2,300 aftermarket electronic components for use in fuel dispensers, retail point-of-sale systems and automatic tank gauges. It also offers a logistics and warehousing solution for customers' electronic-components inventory.
