Marks & Spencer names former Walmart exec as bank and services director

Marks and Spencer Group PLC said Sept. 3 that it appointed Kirsty Ward as director of M&S Bank and Services, effective Nov. 19.

Ward was previously vice president of financial services at Walmart Inc.

Ward will be responsible for the U.K. retailer's M&S Bank and M&S Energy units. She will work closely with Marks & Spencer's partners HSBC, for M&S Bank, and dual fuel energy supplier Octopus Energy, for M&S Energy.
