Goldsource Mines Inc. said Feb. 1 that it entered into an agreement through joint venture partner Kilroy Mining Inc. to acquire a property, dubbed Bishop Growler, located along the projected mineralized trend 3 kilometers from its Eagle Mountain gold project in Guyana.
The property comprises 15 small-scale mining claims covering about 2.5 square kilometers.
The company can earn a 100% interest by paying the property's owner US$525,000 in stages over three years plus an additional US$500,000 upon the exercise of the option. Exploration work is planned for the first quarter.
The group further announced that COO Nathan Eric Fier was also appointed executive chairman, replacing Graham Thody, who will remain on the board as independent director.
