Groupe Bruxelles Lambert SA said its second-quarter normalized net income was €2.58 per share, an increase of 10.4% from €2.34 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €400.6 million, an increase of 10.4% from €362.7 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 22.7% from 23.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 12.5% year over year to €1.77 billion from €1.57 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 13.9% from the prior-year period to €1.04 billion from €913.8 million.
Reported net income grew 32.6% year over year to €595.1 million, or €3.70 per share, from €448.7 million, or €2.89 per share.
