Bioalpha Holdings Q2 profit climbs YOY

Bioalpha Holdings Berhad said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 972,880 ringgits, a rise from 482,880 ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 8.1% from 5.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 45.0% year over year to 12.0 million ringgits from 8.3 million ringgits, and total operating expenses grew 94.4% year over year to 10.5 million ringgits from 5.4 million ringgits.

Reported net income grew on an annual basis to 1.4 million ringgits, or 0 sen per share, from 396,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share.

As of Aug. 22, US$1 was equivalent to 4.02 ringgits.
