WEC Energy elects new board president

WEC Energy Group Inc. said in an Oct. 9 news release that its board elected Kevin Fletcher as the new president of the company, effective immediately.

Fletcher will replace Allen Leverett, who took a medical leave after having a stroke in October 2017. Leverett decided to leave the position but will remain a member of the board, the company said in a separate news release. He has been with WEC Energy since 2003 and was elected president and CEO in May 2016.

Fletcher will report to WEC Energy Chairman and CEO Gale Klappa and will have overall responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the seven utilities.
