Report: DowDuPont executive chairman to step down April 1

DowDuPont Inc.'s executive chairman, Andrew Liveris, will step down April 1, The Wall Street Journal reported, in a move which comes as the chemicals giant prepares to separate its materials science, agriculture and specialty products businesses.

Liveris, 63, will be replaced by his co-lead director Jeff Fettig, and will remain a director on the combined board until July 1, the report said.

Jim Fitterling will be the chief executive of the new materials science company expected to launch in the first quarter of 2019, which will be called Dow.

The official announcement is expected March 12, the publication noted.
