Ahold Delhaize buys back €38.4M worth of shares

Dutch supermarket operator Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Dec. 18 that it bought back 1,715,000 of its common shares from Dec. 10 to Dec. 14.

The company paid an average price of €22.40 per share, for a total consideration of €38.4 million.

The transaction was part of Ahold Delhaize's €2 billion share repurchase program first announced in November 2017.

To date, the company has repurchased 99,673,708 common shares, totaling approximately €1.98 billion.
