Portsmouth, Va.-based TowneBank promoted William Littreal to senior executive vice president and CFO.

He succeeds Clyde McFarland Jr., who is retiring. Littreal is currently chief strategy officer and director of investor relations. He will retain the latter title even after the promotion takes effect.
