System Information fiscal Q1 profit climbs 33.7% YOY

System Information Co.Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to ¥6.50 per share, an increase of 33.6% from ¥4.86 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥76.9 million, an increase of 33.7% from ¥57.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 5.2% from 4.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 16.1% on an annual basis to ¥1.47 billion from ¥1.26 billion, and total operating expenses grew 14.6% on an annual basis to ¥1.34 billion from ¥1.17 billion.

Reported net income grew 42.0% from the prior-year period to ¥81.0 million, or ¥6.82 per share, from ¥57.1 million, or ¥4.82 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥112.83.
