The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission allowed Williams Partners LP's Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co. LLC to begin service for the final phase of a natural gas expansion project that will deliver an additional 180,000 Dth/d of gas in total to New Jersey.
Commission staff on March 16 granted
New Jersey Resources Corp.'s New Jersey Natural Gas Co. has contracted for all of the incremental firm transportation capacity from the expansion for a primary term of 15 years. The project is one of several Williams expansion projects designed to serve gas demand in the Northeast. Williams Cos. Inc. owns Williams Partners.
FERC authorized the Garden State expansion project in a certificate order on April 7, 2016. (FERC docket CP15-89)
