CEZ a. s. Q3 profit falls YOY

CEZ a. s. said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 4.95 Czech koruny per share, a decline of 33.9% from 7.49 koruny per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.64 billion koruny, a decline of 33.9% from 4.00 billion koruny in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 5.6% from 8.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to 47.64 billion koruny from 45.78 billion koruny, and total operating expenses grew 10.8% year over year to 41.94 billion koruny from 37.84 billion koruny.

Reported net income decreased 50.0% from the prior-year period to 1.28 billion koruny, or 2.40 koruny per share, from 2.56 billion koruny, or 4.76 koruny per share.

As of Nov. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 25.29 Czech koruny.
