Banc of California commences public voting common stock offering

Irvine, Calif.-based Bancof California Inc. commenced a registered underwritten public offeringof 5,250,000 of its voting common shares, according to a May 5 news release.

UBS Investment Bank, which has a 30-day option to purchase 787,500additional shares, is the sole underwriter of the offering.

Net proceeds are expected to be used for general corporate purposes.
