Franklin Financial Services to buy back stock

The board of Chambersburg, Pa.-based Franklin Financial Services Corp. on Oct. 12 authorized a buyback plan for up to 100,000 of the company's common shares.

Repurchases will be made through open-market or privately negotiated transactions from Oct. 16, 2017, through Sept. 30, 2018.
