Former AMP chairman to leave Coca-Cola Amatil in 2019

Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd. said May 16 that Catherine Brenner, who has been a director at the Australian bottler's board for 10 years, decided not to stand for re-election at the company's annual meeting in 2019.

Brenner recently resigned as chairman of AMP Ltd. amid an ongoing financial misconduct scandal at the Australian financial services firm.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Amatil elected Jorge Garduño, president of Coca-Cola Japan Co. Ltd., to its board as a nominee director of Coca-Cola Co.

Garduño, who joined the U.S. soft drink giant in 1992, replaces Martin Jansen, who retired from the board at the conclusion of the meeting after nine years on the board as a nominee director of Coca-Cola.
