Cypress Creek Renewables gets FERC nod to sell 75-MW NC solar project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the proposal by a Cypress Creek Renewables LLC unit to sell the Buckleberry solar farm in Pitt County, N.C. to a subsidiary of John Laing Group PLC.

The approximately 75-MW photovoltaic generating facility recently completed construction and will sell its entire output to Duke Energy Corp. subsidiary Duke Energy Progress LLC under a 10-year power contract starting from the commercial operation date.

John Laing Group is a publicly traded British company that invests and manages infrastructure and renewable energy projects across a range of international markets.

FERC cleared the transaction on Dec. 28, 2018. (FERC docket EC19-26)
