CellCube to build 100 MW of energy storage systems in US

CellCube Energy Storage Systems Inc. entered into an agreement with a U.S. energy developer to build up to 100 MW of energy storage systems for deployment throughout the U.S.

Ontario-based CellCube will develop projects to be placed as standalone projects or with solar projects to offer power market traded energy supply and ancillary services products, according to a March 13 release.

CellCube said the markets that it is entering enable off-take agreement resources for independent system operators and regional transmission operators and will be deployed over the next 24 to 36 months.

"The Company is signaling a long awaited milestone for deployments of energy storage systems in new capacity driven market applications," CellCube President Stefan Schauss said.
