Shan-Loong Transportation Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter was 53 Taiwan cents per share, an increase of 73.8% from 30 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$72.0 million, an increase of 70.1% from NT$42.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 1.7% from 1.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 11.4% on an annual basis to NT$4.26 billion from NT$3.83 billion, and total operating expenses increased 10.7% year over year to NT$4.15 billion from NT$3.75 billion.
Reported net income rose 60.2% from the prior-year period to NT$90.4 million, or 66 cents per share, from NT$56.4 million, or 40 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$1.98 per share, an increase of 71.4% from NT$1.16 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was NT$268.5 million, a gain of 71.9% from NT$156.2 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue declined from the prior-year period to NT$15.56 billion from NT$15.83 billion, and total operating expenses declined year over year to NT$15.19 billion from NT$15.60 billion.
The company said reported net income increased 61.6% year over year to NT$358.7 million, or NT$2.65 per share, in the full year, from NT$221.9 million, or NT$1.64 per share.
