HSBC unit places £500M bond

HSBC HoldingsPlc unit HSBC BankPlc on July 19 placed £500 million in international bonds, Cbondsreported July 20.

The notes, which mature July 25, 2017, carry a coupon ofthree-month sterling LIBOR plus 0.23%.

HSBC served as the sole bookrunner on the deal.
