Monex cancels investment deal with Ventura Capital

Monex SAB de CV on May 29 said it reached an agreement with Ventura Capital Privado SA de CV to terminate an investment deal worth up to 1.5 billion Mexican pesos.

A statement said the deal, that was originally announced in January, was canceled in accordance with the companies' "respective interests."

The investment was supposed to be used by Ventura to acquire shares issued by the lender.

As of May 29, US$1 was equivalent to 18.51 Mexican pesos.
