IDW Media targeting 'geek culture' with new content creation initiative

IDW Media Holdings Inc.'s division IDW Entertainment unveiled a new initiative called IDW Digital Studio for the "geek culture."

The initiative targeting 18-49 year-olds will create, manage and deliver original, on-demand content for the "geek culture" across current and next-generation digital platforms. The offerings of the initiative will include episodic video, animation, short-form social content, digital comics, interactive content, mobile games, features, live events and daily fan-centric content.

IDW Digital Studio's management will establish long-term digital network arrangements to distribute its content and services across both traditional digital platforms and digital network channels. The initiative will also build-out owned-and-operated stations in ecosystems that allow fan engagement.
