Mac-House fiscal Q4 profit falls YOY

4915968 said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 28 amounted to ¥6.44 per share, a decline of 42.7% from ¥11.24 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥98.8 million, a decrease of 42.8% from ¥172.5 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.0% from 1.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 5.4% on an annual basis to ¥9.51 billion from ¥10.05 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥9.37 billion from ¥9.81 billion.

Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥10.0 million, or a loss of 65 sen per share, compared to income of ¥69.0 million, or ¥4.50 per share, in the prior-year period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥14.18 per share, a decrease of 72.2% from ¥50.94 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥217.5 million, a decline of 72.2% from ¥781.3 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue declined year over year to ¥35.95 billion from ¥36.75 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥35.75 billion, compared with ¥35.61 billion in the prior-year period.

The company said reported net income totaled a loss of ¥123.0 million, or a loss of ¥8.02 per share, in the full year, compared with income of ¥549.0 million, or ¥35.80 per share, the prior year.
