Indian government appoints directors at 3 banks

The government of India has nominated directors on the boards of Andhra Bank, Central Bank of India and Corporation Bank, according to separate Dec. 27 bourse filings from the three lenders.

Balgopal Mahapatra, Atmanand and Srinivasa Murthy were nominated by the country's finance ministry as part-time nonofficial directors on the boards of Andhra Bank, Central Bank of India and Corporation Bank, respectively, for a three-year period.

Their appointments took effect the same day.
