CSX grosses $795.4 million from debt offering

CSX Corp. raised gross proceeds of $795.4 million from an offering of 3.80% senior unsubordinated unsecured notes due Nov. 1, 2046.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, redemption or repayment of debt securities, and repurchase of securities.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Mizuho Securities USA LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and UBS Securities LLC were the lead underwriters.

MUFG Securities Americas Inc., PNC Capital Markets LLC and Williams Capital Group LP also served as underwriters for the offering.
