European Energy, Armstrong Capital form JV to fund UK solar, storage pipeline

European Energy A/S entered a joint venture with London-based Armstrong Capital Management Ltd. to fund the development of a solar and storage pipeline in the U.K. worth over 500 MW.

"The U.K. has been a market that European Energy has been keen to re-enter for some time now," European Energy Project Director Thorvald Spanggaard said in a Jan. 8 news release. "We are already working on developing our own portfolio of wind and solar sites, but have been looking for some time for local partners to help us to accelerate our development activities."

Spanggaard added that the joint venture's portfolio would be built out on a subsidy-free basis.
