The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development appointed new regional directors for the Caucasus and for Bulgaria and Romania, effective April 2019.

Catarina Bjorlin Hansen will take over as regional director for the Caucasus, overseeing the institution's operations in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. She will replace Bruno Balvanera, who has been named managing director for Central Asia, the EBRD said Jan. 14.

Meanwhile, Mark Davis was appointed the new EBRD regional director for Bulgaria and Romania, taking over from Matteo Patrone, who was named managing director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, the bank said separately the same day.
