GE communications chief to resign

General Electric Co. said its vice president, chief communications officer and senior adviser, Deirdre Latour, will resign effective March 16 to pursue other opportunities.

Linda Boff, chief marketing officer, will act as interim head of communications while the company searches for Latour's replacement.

Latour joined the company in 2004. She was named chief communications officer in 2015 and promoted to senior adviser in October 2017.
