Bahrain Family Leisure Q1 profit climbs 9.9% YOY

Bahrain Family Leisure Co. BSC said its first-quarter normalized net income was 119,380 Bahraini dinars, a rise of 9.9% from 108,620 dinars in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 34.1% from 30.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell year over year to 349,600 dinars from 355,680 dinars, and total operating expenses climbed year over year to 392,920 dinars from 378,530 dinars.

Reported net income fell 26.0% year over year to 511,250 dinars, or 14 fils per share, from 691,100 dinars, or 19 fils per share.

As of May 12, US$1 was equivalent to 380 Bahraini fils.
