Data Storage Q1 loss narrows YOY

Data Storage Corp. said its normalized net income for the first quarter amounted to a loss of $90,510, compared with a loss of $106,940 in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to negative 9.2% from negative 11.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to $984,620 from $958,130, and total operating expenses declined from the prior-year period to $1.1 million from $1.1 million.

Reported net income totaled a loss of $170,350, or a loss of 0 cents per share, compared to a loss of $194,220, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
