Best of the Best PLC fiscal H2 profit climbs 95.1% YOY

Best of the Best PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal second half ended April 30 was 3 Great British pence per share, a gain of 95.7% from 1 pence per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £282,290, an increase of 95.1% from £144,690 in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 42.5% year over year to £5.1 million from £3.5 million, and total operating expenses climbed 38.8% year over year to £4.6 million from £3.3 million.

Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to £361,200, or 4 pence per share, from £163,960, or 2 pence per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 5 pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 5 pence.

EPS rose 81.5% from 3 pence in the prior year.

Normalized net income was £504,790, a rise of 80.9% from £279,070 in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased 25.7% on an annual basis to £8.8 million from £7.0 million, and total operating expenses grew 21.9% on an annual basis to £8.0 million from £6.6 million.

The company said reported net income increased 82.2% year over year to £644,630, or 7 pence per share, in the full year, from £353,880, or 4 pence per share.
