Protective Insurance Corp.'s board has appointed Jeremy Johnson CEO, effective May 22.
Johnson will also become a member of the board. He most recently worked at American International Group Inc., serving from February 2016 to December 2017 as president of U.S. commercial.
Johnson was also president and CEO of AIG unit Lexington Insurance Co. from February 2013 to December 2017.
The company's interim CEO, Jay Nichols, will continue as board chairman. Additionally, Stephen Gray was appointed to the company's board; he is a long-time adviser to the Shapiro family that controls Protective, and serves as trustee for various Shapiro family entities.
