Kopy Goldfields posts 45% increase in resources at Krasny JV in Russia

A preliminary mineral resource update for the Krasny gold joint venture in Russia between Kopy Goldfields AB and OJSC GV Gold showed a 45% increase in total gold resources.

The estimate includes both the Krasny and Vostochny deposits, although it excludes the recent drill results acquired since March.

The Krasny deposit hosts 273,000 ounces within 7.6 million tonnes at 1.11 g/t of gold in the indicated category, and 1.1 million ounces of gold within 18.5 million tonnes at 1.76 g/t of gold in the inferred category.

Vostochny, meanwhile, has inferred resources of 63,000 ounces of gold within 1.1 million tonnes at 1.76 g/t of gold.

All resources are reported within economically minable open pits, Kopy Goldfields said July 31.
