Amazon selling, installing home chargers for Kia's electric vehicles

Amazon.com Inc. has started selling and installing home chargers for Kia Motors Corp.'s range of electric vehicles sold in the United States as of March 14.

The U.S. arm of the South Korean carmaker made the announcement. Volkswagen AG's unit AUDI AG struck a similar deal with Amazon in September 2018.

According to the March 14 announcement, Kia customers can order at-home charging units for the Soul EV, Niro EV, Niro PHEV or Optima PHEV models on Amazon. They can also schedule home installation through the e-commerce giant. This service is backed by "Amazon's Happiness Guarantee."
