Jumei International Holding Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income was 54 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 76 cents per share.
EPS decreased 35.9% year over year from 84 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $81.0 million, a decrease of 15.8% from $96.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 4.2% from 10.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 99.0% on an annual basis to $1.91 billion from $959.9 million, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to $1.82 billion from $828.9 million.
Reported net income grew 10.8% on an annual basis to $102.6 million, or 68 cents per share, from $92.6 million, or 81 cents per share.
