Community Financial Corp. director resigns

Eric Goldberg resigned as a director of Waldorf, Md.-based Community Financial Corp. and unit Community Bank of the Chesapeake, effective Nov. 6, to focus on other professional commitments.

Goldberg was initially nominated for election to the boards pursuant to a March 2016 agreement between the company and Basswood Capital Management LLC, as a representative of certain related funds and managed accounts. Basswood Capital owns roughly 9.8% of the outstanding Community Financial common shares.
