Hershey Co. will spend $60 million to expand its confectionery factory in Hazel Township, Pa., in a bid to improve the manufacturing capacity of its chocolate-wafer line Kit Kat, state newspaper The Times Leader reported March 7.
The U.S. confectioner expects the move to increase the brand's sales, The Times Leader said.
The newspaper added that Hershey plans to hire 111 people at the facility, which also produces Cadbury and Caramello products. It is reportedly looking to hire production operators, HVAC specialists, maintenance mechanics and controls specialists.
