Utility-backed energy investment firm Energy Impact Partners LLC provided up to $20 million in financing facilities to Palmetto Clean Energy, a clean technology software and fulfillment platform company.
Palmetto said it scales the deployment of cost-saving clean technology products such as energy storage, solar power, demand management systems and energy efficiency, according to a Feb. 15 news release. The company will use the financing to expand its North American presence, increase staffing and develop programs to drive sales.
The investment was made through Energy Impact Partners' energy impact credit fund. The firm counts utilities Southern Co., Ameren Corp., Xcel Energy Inc. and TransCanada Corp., among others, as its partners.
