Report: Charter CEO discusses Time Warner Cable deal with FCC chairman

CharterCommunications Inc. CEO Tom Rutledge held a meeting with FCCChairman Tom Wheeler to discuss the company's merger with , Multichannel News reported April 11,citing a filing with the agency.

At the meeting, Rutledge highlighted the benefits of themerger agreement, such as the expansion of broadband, Charter's commitment tono usage-based pricing and to settlement-free interconnections, according tothe filing.

The meeting comes as the review clock is set to reach 200days. John Sallet, general counsel at the commission, also reportedly attendedthe meeting.
