Renault SA said its normalized net income for the first half came to €6.60 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €8.40 per share.
EPS rose 43.1% year over year from €4.62.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.80 billion, a gain of 42.4% from €1.27 billion in the prior-year period.
Total revenue rose 17.3% year over year to €29.54 billion from €25.18 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 17.2% from the prior-year period to €27.73 billion from €23.66 billion.
Reported net income rose 58.3% on an annual basis to €2.38 billion, or €8.70 per share, from €1.50 billion, or €5.47 per share.
