Workers at Wollongong's Wongawilli coal project to strike

Contract workers at Wollongong Coal Ltd.'s Wongawilli colliery in New South Wales, Australia, notified the company that they plan to strike from Jan. 14-20.

The notice said the protected industrial action is related to a proposed enterprise agreement between the labor-hire contractor and its employees, according to a Jan. 11 release.

The strike will be in the form of consecutive work stoppages for 24-hour periods.
