Banco Hipotecario plans 300M Argentine pesos bond offering

Banco Hipotecario SA is preparing a debt offering involving two classes of bonds for up to 300.0 million Argentine pesos, according to a prospectus filed by the bank.

The offering will include 24-month class XLIX notes for up to 150.0 million pesos, carrying a variable interest rate. The bank will also offer 48-month class L bonds worth up to the equivalent of 150.0 million pesos, denominated in inflation-adjusted UVA units.

Banco Hipotecaria said it will announce a date for the offering, which is part of its $1.50 billion global bond program, in the near future.

As of Feb. 1, US$1 was equivalent to 19.43 Argentine pesos.
