South Africa's Sygnia names board members, confirms deputy CEO appointment

South Africa-based investment management firm Sygnia Ltd. named three directors to its board, including David Hufton as executive director, and confirmed Hufton's appointment as deputy CEO.

Hufton was named deputy CEO in July, and appointed executive director effective Sept. 1. He was previously national head of consulting at financial services firm Alexander Forbes.

Mcebisi Jonas was named nonexecutive director, effective Sept. 1. Jonas was deputy finance minister of South Africa between 2014 and 2017.

Andre Crawford-Brunt will serve as nonexecutive director from Nov. 1. Crawford-Brunt is currently the managing partner at investment and advisory firm Braavos Partners.

The director appointments are subject to shareholder approval.
