China Resources Beer (Holdings) Co. Ltd. is in talks to acquire the Chinese assets of Dutch brewer Heineken NV in a deal that could be worth more than $1 billion, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The deal between the two beverage companies will include the facilities operating in Guangdong, Hainan and Zhejiang provinces, Heineken's distribution operation and its brands in China. The negotiations include a possible share-swap, Reuters said.
