3i Group fiscal H1 profit falls YOY

3i Group Plc said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 amounted to 42 Great British pence per share, a decrease of 34.2% from 63 pence per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £403.1 million, a decline of 33.8% from £609.4 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 30.3% on an annual basis to £703.0 million from £1.01 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 9.4% from the prior-year period to £58.0 million from £53.0 million.

Reported net income declined 32.5% on an annual basis to £657.1 million, or 68 pence per share, from £972.9 million, or £1.01 per share.
